Xtreme Fighting Championship’s upcoming June 22nd event in Nashville, Tennesse, will feature a middleweight bout between UFC vet John Salter and former Bellator competitor Josh Samman in the main event.

The card, which will be hosted by Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, will be broadcast live on HDNet.

Salter (8-2) has won three straight fights since he was defeated by Dan Miller at UFC 118 in August, 2010. Since the loss Salter has scored victories over Casey Huffman, Kalib Starnes and most recently Ryan Machan.

During his time with the UFC the experienced wrestler also recorded a TKO win (due to a leg injury) over Jason MacDonald and a stoppage loss to Gerald Harris.

Samman (9-2) is coming off a stoppage win over Mikey Gomez at XFC 16 in February, to rebound from a unanimous decision loss he suffered versus Dan Cramer at Bellator 46 last June.

Samman is 4-1 in his last five bouts which includes a knockout win over UFC vet Chris Cope in January, 2010.

More details regarding the upcoming XFC 18 event are expected soon.
