UFC’s Dustin Poirier Announces Move to Lightweight, After Run as Featherweight Contender

Although Dustin Poirier remains a top ranked featherweight, following his loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 178, the talented fighter has announced he’s moving to lightweight.

The 25 year-old fighter, who was on a three fight winning streak prior to facing McGregor, recently explained his decision by posting the video clip below.

This is why I'm moving up! I'm going to perform better! Let's go!!

Poirier is currently ranked #6 in the UFC’s 145 division, and the only other men to defeat the ATT fighter in his last ten bouts are Cub Swanson and Chan Sung Jung.
