UFC’s Joe Rogan Blasts Those Who Misquoted Statements Regarding Jon Jones’ Popularity And Racism
By FCF Staff
Joe Rogan is blasting media members and observers after comments he made regarding Jon Jones and the UFC champ’s popularity were misquoted.
The UFC commentator and comedian discussed Jones, and the fighter’s level of support, on the latest edition of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” During the show, which featured nutritionist Mike Dolce, Rogan questioned whether racism could be a factor in the criticism Jones has received.
Rogan’s comments have been apparently spun by some, to infer that the accomplished martial artist was saying all of Jones’ critics are racist. In response, Rogan posted the following statements on Twitter:
I've been misquoted left & right about Jon Jones lack of popularity. I said "I wonder how much of it is racism" key words: WONDER & HOW MUCH

I didn't say Jon Jones isn't more popular because everyone that dislikes him is racist. It's a subject for debate and discussion, that's it.

Jones is scheduled to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 on January 3rd.
