John Lineker may be the UFC’s #5th ranked flyweight and is on a three fight winning streak, but the fighter failed to make weight for the third time in five fights today in Manchester.

Lineker came in at 128 pounds for his bout with Phil Harris tomorrow at UFC Fight Night 30, and was unable to shed two more pounds within the extra hour given.  Since this was the third time Lineker failed to make weight, he’s been fined 25% of his purse instead of the customary 20%, according to a report from MMA Weekly.com,

Although it remains to be seen how Lineker (22-6) performs against Harris (22-10), the fighter and his camp will likely have to examine whether he should fight at 125 in the future.
