UFN 32: Belfort, Martins, Perpetuo and Akhmedov Earn Bonuses
By FCF Staff
Vitor Belfort continued to buzz the MMA masses tonight at UFC Fight Night 32, by quickly taking out Dan Henderson, and the middleweight contender earned “Knockout of the Night” as a result.
Belfort dropped Henderson with an uppercut shortly into their main event, and as the legend attempted to get to his feet, he finished the fight with a left head kick. Henderson appeared to be conscious after the blow, but the bout was brought to a halt before the 43 year-old took any more strikes.
As per usual, Belfort earned an extra $50,000 for the award, which came on a night that featured several stoppage wins.
“Submission of the Night” went to Adriano Martins for his straight armbar finish of Daron Cruickshank, and “Fight of the Night” went to Thiago Perpetuo and Omari Akhmedov for their quick slugfest.
The latter won the bout via knockout in the first round.
UFC FN 32 was hosted by Goiania, Brazil.
