THE BIGGEST MAIN EVENT IN UCC HISTORY!

MONTREAL (CANADA) – The suspense is finally over as the Universal Combat Challenge finally announces Jens Pulver’s opponent for UCC 11: The Next Level! Denver’s own DUANE "BANG" LUDWIG, one of the best strikers in the game will go head to head with Jens Pulver in the biggest event in UCC history! "I’m so excited about that fight" said UCC president Stephane Patry, "This has the potential to be the fight of the year! Fight fans saw super fights this year with Lawler-Riley in the UFC and Vigneault-Sills in the UCC but this one has something special about it…" added the proud president about this upcoming main event.

The UCC wanted someone who would want to stand up with the best pound for pound fighter in the world, Jens Pulver. This fight will crown the first UCC World Lightweight champion and is the final touch to an impressive fight card that will feature 4 World championships and 2 Canadian championships. The UCC knock-out sensation will also be one of the main events as Steve Vigneault (7-1 with 6 KO’s) will try to send Anthony Fryklund (7-1 with 4 KO’s) down on his impressive list of knock-out victims.

JOHN ALESSIO TO DEFEND HIS UCC CROWN AT UCC 11!
UNDEFEATED WARRIOR JASON BLACK STEPS UP TO THE PLATE!

Black and Alessio
UCC World Welterweight champion JOHN ALESSIO (11-3) has been on a huge winning streak as of late. With an impressive King of the CageTM record, he entered the UCC ranks with a brutal KO victory over fan favorite Sean Pierson to claim the title. Since becoming the champion, John has continued his winning streak with a win over Chris Brennan in King of the CageTM as well as a big win in Pride’sTM "The Best" show.

Now he returns to the UCC and is ready for his biggest challenge yet in JASON BLACK (9-0-1). Black is one of the very few undefeated MMA fighters in the world with an impressive 9-0-1 record. This "Team Extreme" member made his UCC debut with an impressive one in soundly defeating the top ranked Ivan Menjivar thus earning his shot at the gold.

Black is confident that his wrestling credentials and aggressive fight style will earn him a spot in UCC history while the champ Alessio sees this fight as yet another notch on his 15-pound UCC World Championship title belt. We’ll find out on October 11th in Montreal!
