After winning her flyweight debut in October, Jessica Andrade has been tapped for a title fight with champion, Valentina Shevchenko.

Andrade (21-8) returned to the win column in October, by stopping flyweight Katlyn Chookagian in the first round. Prior to that, the former strawweight champ lost via split decision to Rose Namajunas in July, who Andrade KO’d in their 2019 bout.

According to ESPN, UFC President Dana White has confirmed Andrade will challenge Shevchenko on April 24th at UFC 261. The venue and location for the card has yet to be announced.

Shevchenko (20-3) has defended the flyweight title four times to date. In her last bout, in November, Shevchenko recorded a decision win over Jennifer Maia.
