Vanderlei Silva To Fight At Pride 18

Vanderlei Silva to fight at Pride 18
By Eduardo Alonso

Vanderlei Silva
Shortly after becoming the first ever Pride Middleweight champion, the “Axe Murderer” Vanderlei Silva will be returning to the Pride ring to face yet another Japanese Opponent at the next Pride event! This time his opponent will be Alexander Otsuka, who has already fought the likes of Marco Ruas, Igor Vovchanchyn, Renzo Gracie, Ken Shamrock and Guy Mezger among others. Although Otsuka’s career is far from brilliant, with a lot of losses in his record, he has proven himself to be a tough opponent. This will be Vanderlei’s fourth fight of the year, and his fourth Japanese opponent. FCF was told that Silva is training very hard and is healed from any injuries. Silva reportedly knocked out two people in training at the Chute Boxe camp this past week.
