Vitor Belfort not only derailed the title shot hopes of Michael Bisping tonight in Sao Paulo, Brazil–at least for the foreseeable future–but the feared striker also collected “Knockout of the Night” honors for his stoppage win.

Belfort floored Bisping in the second round with a nicely executed, left kick to the head, and then prompted the referee’s intervention with a flurry of hammer strikes. Although Bisping did not appear to be terribly dazed, Belfort earned the bonus award and an extra $50,000 for the pivotal win.

“Submission of the Night”, and an extra 50 grand, went to Ildemar Alcantara for his painful looking, kneebar submission win over Wagner Prado.

“Fight of the Night” went to CB Dollaway and Daniel Sarafian for their entertaining, back-and-forth bout which saw Dollaway emerge victorious with a split decision win.
