Vitor Belfort Reportedly Suffered Serious Knee Injury Prior to UFC 224

Following Vitor Belfort’s vicious, knockout loss to Lyoto Machida at UFC 224 last weekend, it’s being reported that the Brazilian legend incurred a serious knee injury during his training camp.
According to an initial report from Combate, and a follow report from MMA Fighting, sources say Belfort injured his left knee during the first week of his camp for UFC 224. Multiple doctors reportedly advised Belfort to withdraw from the fight, but the 41 year-old completed his camp.
After Belfort’s defeat to Machida, the star relayed that the fight was the last of his 20 year plus career.
