Chris Horodecki will return to action this summer, as the WEC and Bellator vet has informed Full Contact Fighter that he has signed with Xcessive Force, and will fight for the Canadian promotion’s lightweight title July 27th.

Horodecki (18-4-1) will take on fellow vet Tim Smith (13-7) for the organization’s vacant belt, and the card will be hosted by Grande Prairie, Alberta.

The 25 year-old Horodecki will be fighting for the first time since last October, when he incurred a substantial cut during a Score Fighting Series bout with Brad Cardinal, and the fight was declared a no contest.

Prior to that Horodecki went 1-1-1 while competing for Bellator, as he drew with Mike Corey, defeated Chris Saunders and was stopped by Mike Richman.

Smith is coming off back-to-back wins while competing for Unified MMA and is 6-4 in his last ten fights.
