Jake Shields returned to the winner’s column tonight at World Series of Fighting 14, as the accomplished welterweight tapped out Ryan Ford in the main event’s opening round.

After being sent to the mat momentarily by a stiff jab, Shields managed to take Ford to the mat, and from there, worked his way into a fight ending rear-naked-choke.  With the win, Shields rebounded from the decision loss he incurred versus Hector Lombard in March, and extended his record to 30-7-1.

In the card’s co-headliner, Smealinho Rama laid claim to the WSOF heavyweight title, by putting away Derrick Mehmen with a flurry of punches in round one.

Here are the results for WSOF 14, which went down in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Roger Alves def. David Swanson via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Matt Baker def. Cody Krahn via submission (armbar) R1, 2:28

Hakeem Dawodu def. Mike Malott via TKO (strikes) R1, 4:13

Tim Hague def. Craig Hudson via TKO (punches) R3, 2:55

Jared Hamman def. Luke Harris via TKO (strikes) R1, 2:27

Chris Horodecki def. Luis Huete via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
