WSOF 19: Eddie Arizmendi Replacing Krasimir Mladenov
By FCF Staff
World Series of Fighting 19 has undergone a change, as the promotion has confirmed that Krasimir Mladenov has incurred an injury, and will no longer fight Clifford Starks as a result. Stepping in for Mladenov at the March 28th event is Eddie Arizmendi.
Arizmendi (15-6) will be looking to end a three fight losing streak after winning nine straight. The 29 year-old will be fighting for the first time since August, 2013, when he lost by split decision to Dano Moore.
Starks (10-2), meanwhile, is coming off a choke out victory over Jacob Ortiz at Bellator 126 in September. The 33 year-old is 3-2 in his last 5 contests.
The promotion’s president Ray Sefo relayed the change to MMA Junkie.com.
WSOF 19 will be hosted by the Comeria Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona and will feature lightweight champ Justin Gaethje taking on Luis Palomino.
