WSOF 6: Miguel Torres-Pablo Alfonso Added to October 26th Card
By FCF Staff
As expected, former WEC champ Miguel Torres has been added to the line-up of WSOF 6 and will fight Pablo Alfonso at the October 26th card. The event will be hosted by the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Florida, and will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
Torres (40-6) will be looking to end a two fight losing streak, as the bantamweight is coming off a KO loss to Michael McDonald and more recently, a split decision loss to Marlon Moraes at WSOF 1 last November. The 32 year-old fighter is 2-3 in his last 5 fights.
Alfonso (8-5) will be making his WSOF debut, and in his most recent outing, he submitted Shah Bobonis at a Championship Fighting Alliance card in January. The 31 year-old Strikeforce vet is also 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.
WSOF 6 will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Josh Burkman and Steve Carl to determine the promotion’s champion.
