WSOF 7: Nick Newell to Fight Sabah Fadai

Newell choking Caldwell

World Series of Fighting continues to build the line-up for its first trip to Canada, as the promotion has announced today that undefeated lightweight Nick Newell will fight Sabah Fadai in Vancouver on December 7th. WSOF 7 will be hosted by the city’s PNE Agrodome.

Newell (10-0) is coming off a successful WSOF debut, as the former XFC vet tapped out Keon Caldwell with a first round, guillotine choke.

“I’m so honored to be part of WSOF’s first event in Canada,” Newell in a press release from the promotion. “The opportunity to grow with this company on an international level is amazing. I’m expecting Fadai to bring it, and I can’t wait to have my arm raised Dec. 7.”

Fadai (7-2) trains under the guidance of DREAM and K-1 Hero’s vet Kultar Gill in nearby Abbotsford, British Columbia. The lightweight hasn’t fought since last October when he tapped out Cody Krahn, while competing for the Maximum Fighting Championship.

WSOF 7 will feature Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (15-4) taking on light-heavyweight Mike Kyle (20-10-1) in the main event,  as well as Elvis Mutapcic (13-2) versus Jesse Taylor (26-9) in the middleweight tourney, semifinal.

The card will be broadcast in the U.S. on the NBC Sports Network.
