WSOF Canada 2: Ryan Ford to Face Bristol Marunde June 7th

World Series of Fighting Canada has announced that Canadian welterweight champ Ryan Ford, will battle Bristol Marunde, June 7th in Edmonton, Alberta. The upcoming event will be hosted by the Edmonton Expo Centre.

Ford (22-4) secured the Canadian title in February, by quickly knocking out Joel Powell with a front kick. The Tristar fighter and Edmonton resident has won six straight, and is 9-1 in his last 10 bouts.

Marunde (13-9) scored a submission win over Ian Williams in his last outing, which took place at a Combat Games MMA event earlier this month. Prior to that the Las Vegas fighter lost three in a row, while competing for the UFC and Strikeforce.

WSOF Canada has also confirmed that UFC vets Tim Hague (16-8) and Nick Penner (11-3) will compete on the card. Penner will face Jordan Tracey (4-3), and Hague will take on fellow vet Dwayne Lewis (13-9).

Recent TUF Nations competitor Matt DesRoches (4-0) is also scheduled to fight Spencer Jebb (7-3).
