Melvin Guillard and his wife have had a considerable scare, less than a month out from when he is scheduled to fight, as the lightweight’s car was destroyed in a recent crash.

Guillard, who is booked to fight “JZ” Cavalcante at WSOF on July 5th, recently posted the following pics on Instagram:

According to a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, WSOF vice president Ali Abdelaziz has confirmed that Guillard and his wife are doing okay.

Guillard also posted: “We both so lucky to be alive today GOD was watching over us both yesterday! !!!!! He definitely got my attention”

The 31 year-old fighter is coming off a decision loss to Michael Johnson in March.
