Okami

By FCF Staff

Middleweight contender Yushin Okami will look to end his two fight losing streak against former light-heavyweight Luiz Cane on August 11th. The bout will take place at UFC 150 in Denver, Colorado.

Okami (26-7) is coming off stoppage losses to champion Anderson Silva and most recently Tim Boetsch, after scoring wins over Lucio Linhares, Mark Munoz and Nate Marquardt.

Cane (12-4) will make the drop to middleweight after going 2-3 in his last five bouts. Most recently, at UFC 134 last August, the Brazilian fighter was stopped by Stanislav Nedkov.

In addition, the UFC has announced that lightweight Thiago Tavares will fight Dennis Hallman at the August 11th event.

Tavares (17-4) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Sam Stout in January, while Hallman (51-14) tapped out John Makdessi in his last performance at UFC 140 in December.

UFC 150 will be hosted by Denver’s Pepsi Center.
