Thompson’s vaunted striking game proved to be too much for Geoff Neal, as the welterweight contender worked his way to a unanimous decision win,.

Aldo, meanwhile, sealed a decision win over Marlon Vera, by taking him down in round three and controlling the frame.

The victory was Aldo’s first at bantamweight and ended a three fight losing streak.
