Marlon Vera has yet to compete in 2025, but recently the UFC announced that the bantamweight contender will battle Aiemann Zahabi this fall.

The UFC has announced that Vera and Zahabi will fight at the promotion’s upcoming, October 18th card in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The 32-year-old Vera (23-10) hasn’t fought since August, 2024, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Deiveson Figueiredo.

Prior to that, Vera lost via unanimous decision to then champion, Sean O’Malley, in March, 2024. Vera has gone 2 and 3 in his last 5 bouts.

Zahabi (13-2), who is 37, has won 6 straight. In his last outing, which took place in May, Zahabi defeated Jose Aldo by unanimous decision.

Currently, Vera is ranked #7 in the UFC’s bantamweight division and Zahabi is ranked #10.
