Alex Perez Posts Statement Following Loss to Deiveson Figueiredo

After coming up short in his title shot bout with flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo, Alex Perez has shared out a statement.
Perez battled Figueiredo in the headliner of UFC 255. After the bout went to the floor not long in, Perez was eventually caught in a fight ending, guillotine choke.
Following the defeat, which snapped his three-fight winning streak, Perez posted this statement.
Well, it is what it is. It’s part of the business. Stuff happens. I’ll be back. 2020 has been a crazy year for me. 3 fights and finding out I’ll be a dad. I’m beyond blessed. Thank you for all the support I’ll be back!

The 28-year-old Perez saw his record fall to 24-6 as a result of the loss. Heading into UFC 255, Perez was ranked #4 in the UFC’s flyweight division.
