Alexander Gustafsson

Recently Jon Jones said he was more interested in fighting Alexander Gustafssson again, rather than Daniel Cormier, and “The Mauler” has responded.

Jones is scheduled to rematch the light-heavyweight champ Cormier on April 23rd, which will mark the first time he’s fought, since he decisioned “DC” in January, 2015. While speaking to MMA Junkie.com recently, Jones argued that since his 2013 bout with Gustasfsson was so competitive, he really wants to fight the latter and erase “all doubt”.

Well, since then, Gustasfsson posted the following comments on Facebook:

Jon, just focus on your fight with DC, I’m here, waiting for you. You want to get rid of the doubts you say?
I say I just want that belt that that you owe me from our last fight!

Jones won the thrilling bout via UD, but some observers had Gustafsson winning the fight. The two were expected to rematch in 2014, but an injury to Gustafsson, cancelled the fight.
