Immediately following his loss to Ilia Topuria on Saturday, Alexander Volkanvoski called for an immediate rematch. Since then, the former featherweight champ has repeated his desire to battle the rising star once again.

Volkanovski faced Topuria in the headliner for UFC 298, and was taken out by a booming right hand in round two. The fight ended Volkanovski’s lengthy run as featherweight champ, which began back in 2019.

In a follow-up video the renowned, Australian fighter, called for an immediate rematch with Topuria, again.

The 35-year-old Volkanovski (26-4) was coming off a knockout loss to lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev in October. Following UFC 298, UFC President Dana White didn’t outright confirm the promotion will look at booking an immediate rematch, but he didn’t dismiss the idea either.
