Alexander Volkov Lists Some “Big” Names For Next Opponent

After returning to the win column this past Saturday at UFC 254, Alexander Volkov has listed several, top contenders he’s interested in facing next.
The former Bellator heavyweight champ took on Walt Harris at the event, and stopped him in the second round with a body kick and follow-up punches. It marked the first time he fougth since he lost via decision to Curtis Blaydes in June.
Following the impressive win, Volkov had this to say while discussing his hopes for his next fight (quotes via MMA Junkie).
“Any challenge, any guy with a big name,” Volkov said. “(Alistair) Overeem, (Junior) Dos Santos, (Jairzinho) Rozenstruik – anybody who can take me back to the belt.”
“I have to go home, but I’m ready,” Volkov said. “I don’t know when there will be new UFC shows, probably in December. But I need about two or three months to prepare for camp. I’m ready. I just need the UFC to give me a name and in two or three months that I need to do my camp. I’ll be ready.”
The 32-year-old fighter moved his overall record to 32-8 with Saturday’s win. Volkov is currently ranked #7 in the UFC’s heavyweight division.
