By FCF Staff
Full Contact Fighter has obtained a copy of the court order (order_re_writ_PDF) mandating the withholding of funds from Alistair Overeem’s purse that will be earned from tonight’s heavyweight showdown with Brock Lesnar in the main event of UFC 141.
According to the court document, the $241,285.49 that the Nevada district court judge has ordered to be withheld, represents approximately 30 percent of Overeem’s fighter purse, win bonus, performance bonus and “Pay per View Provider Proceeds’ as set forth in Zuffa’s Promotional and Ancillary Rights Agreement of September 2011.”
The court document stipulates that Zuffa, LLC, the parent company of the UFC, must make payable, a check in the amount specified, to Knock-Out Investments and that the “Nevada Athletic Commission shall hold such $241,285.49 check pending further order” of the court.
Earlier today, Full Contact Fighter issued a breaking news report about the court order issued by the Nevada district court judge.
