Anthony Smith has his first fight for 2021 set, as it’s being reported the light heavyweight contender has agreed to fight Jimmy Crute.

Crute was scheduled to fight Johnny Walker on March 27th. But according to a report from ESPN, Walker has withdrawn from the fight due to an injury.

Smith (34-16) has agreed to step in to fight Crute (12-1), but the bout will now take place on April 24th.

‘Lionheart’ is coming off a submission win over Devin Clark in November, which snapped Smith’s two-fight losing skid. Smith has gone 2-3 in his last 5 fights.

Crute knocked out Modestas Bukauskas in his last outing, which took place in October. ‘The Brute’ is 4-1 in his last 5 bouts.

A location for the April 24th UFC card has yet to be announced.
