Marshman (left) will face Watson at BAMMA 9

Just two days prior to the latest British Association of Mixed-Martial-Arts event in Birmingham, England, the promotion has been forced to do some last minute juggling to the line-up. According to a press release sent out today by BAMMA, both Fraser Opie and Matt Howard have been forced to withdrawal from the card due to undisclosed injuries.

BAMMA has been able to find a last minute replacement for Matt Howard, however, as Patrick Vallee (7-2) has agreed to fight Andrew Punshon on Saturday. Vallee, who is a training partner of Bellator vet Karl Amoussou, is coming off a stoppage loss to Brandon Thatch at an Instinct MMA card in December.

Punshon (10-4) last competed in October and scored a stoppage win over Denniston Sutherland while competing for the Made 4 the Cage promotion.

Prior to his injury, Opie had been scheduled to fight the undefeated Anthony Taylor at BAMMA 9.

Here is the line-up to date for BAMMA 9, which will feature a middleweight bout between world champion Tom Watson and British champ Jack Marshmann in the main event.
