Belal Muhammad Announces UFC 310 Withdrawal
By FCF Staff
It looks like Belal Muhammad’s first attempt at defending the UFC’s welterweight title is going to have to wait, as the champion has withdrawn from UFC 310.
Muhammad was supposed to face rising and undefeated contender, Shavkat Rakhmonov at the December 7th card. But, recently the 36-year-old reported via social media that due to a bone infection in his foot, he can no longer compete at the event.
“Caught a bone infection in my foot .. had to put a picc line in my arm for iv antibiotics the next 6 weeks with no physical activity … Allahs plan is the best plan I’m sorry to everyone that were coming to see me Ill be back soon inshAllah“
Muhammad (24-3) won the welterweight title this past July by recording a dominant, unanimous decision win over Leon Edwards at UFC 304.
As this post was being published, there’s been no official word from the UFC regarding a new headliner for UFC 310.
