Belal Muhammad Blasts Leon Edwards For Title Shot Call Out
By FCF Staff
Leon Edwards made it clear he believes a title shot should be next, despite the fact his bout with Belal Muhammad ended in a disappointing fashion. Since then, the latter has lit up Edwards over his title shot call-out.
Edwards battled Muhammad in the main event of UFC Vegas 21, and the fight was declared a no-contest, after Muhammad was bloodied by an accidental eye poke. After the fight, Edwards relayed that he believes he should fight for the promotion’s welterweight belt next.
After hearing those comments, Muhammad responded with the following tweet.
Never saw someone act so tough after poking someone in the eye the fight was just getting goin and if your satisfied to end it on that note your soft you ain’t getting a title fight off that I took the fight on 3 week notice and came to fight run it back @ufc
