Bellator 139: Cheick Kongo Dominates Alexander Volkov For UD Win
By FCF Staff
Cheick Kongo added another victory to his resume in dominant fashion at Bellator 139, as the UFC vet cruised to a win over Alexander Volkov.
Volkov had no answers for the takedowns and top game of Kongo, and the heavyweight was awarded a clear cut, unanimous decision.
In the co-headliner, David Rickels appeared to be moments away from finishing John Alessio, but blasted the lightweight with a knee to the head while he was down. After several minutes, Alessio appeared to relay he was unable to continue, and the bout was declared a no contest.
