Bellator 170’s Ortiz vs. Sonnen Draws Over 1.8 Million Viewers According to Preliminary Figures

Bellator 170‘s main event on Saturday, which featured Tito Ortiz taking on Chael Sonnen, drew over 1.8 million viewers.

The January 21st event took place at the Forum in Inglewood, California, and it marked the final bout of Ortiz’s storied career. According to a press release sent out by Spike TV, 1.85 million people tuned into watch the main event between Ortiz and Sonnen. This is according to preliminary figures, which do not include DVR +3 views.

1.7 million people watched the co-main event bout between Paul Daley and Brennan Ward.

Bellator 170 averaged 1.4 million viewers overall, which makes it the third most watched card in the promotion’s history.

Ortiz submitted Sonnen in the opening round of the main event. In the co-headliner, Daley knocked Ward out with a flying knee.
