Bellator has booked another, pivotal fight for its upcoming schedule, as former light-heavyweight champ Phil Davis will battle Corey Anderson.

The fight will be part of Bellator 287, which will take place on July 16th at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena.

Anderson (16-6) is looking to get back on track after losing via unanimous decision to champion, Vadim Nemkov, in November. The former UFC contender has gone 3-1, with 1 no-contest, since arriving in Bellator.

Davis (24-6) recorded a decision win over Julius Anglickas in his last fight, which took place in March, 2022. The veteran fighter and decorated wrestler is 4-1 in his last 5 bouts.

Bellator 287 will also feature a light-heavyweight title fight between the champion Nemkov and Yoel Romero. Featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” is also moving down to bantamweight to challenge champion, Sergio Pettis.
