After recently announced that Fedor Emelianenko would compete at an upcoming Bellator event in Moscow, the promotion has now confirmed his opponent.

‘The Last Emperor’ will take on UFC veteran Timothy Johnson at the October 23rd card, which will take place at the VTB Arena.

The 44-year-old Emelianenko (39-6) hasn’t competed since December, 2019, when he quickly stopped ‘Rampage’ Jackson. The legendary, former PRIDE champion has gone 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.

The 36-year-old Johnson (15-7), meanwhile, is coming off a decision loss to Emelianenko’s teammate, Valentin Moldavsky, in June. The fight was for Bellator’s interim heavyweight title.

The UFC veteran Johnson has also gone 3-2 in his last 5 contests.

Bellator Moscow is also expected to feature former heavyweight champ Vitaly Minakov taking on surging heavyweight, Tyrell Fortune.
