Bellator Announces Signing of Heavyweight Vet Chase Gormley
Bellator has added another UFC veteran to its roster, as the promotion has announced that it has signed heavyweight Chase Gormley.
According to a press release from the company, Gormley has been signed to a multi-fight deal, however, his Bellator debut has yet to be determined.
Gormley (12-4) makes his way to Bellator having won five straight fights, and the heavyweight is coming off a decision win over Jon Madsen, while competing for Titan FC.
“I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity to compete for Bellator MMA with Scott Coker at the helm,” Gormley said in the official announcement. “I can’t think of a better way to show that I am one of the best heavyweights in the world than here, and with a platform like Spike it won’t be long before everyone knows my name.”
Bellator’s next card takes place on July 17th in Uncasville, Connecticut. In the main event, welterweight champ Douglas Lima will take on Andrey Koreshkov.
