Bellator Declines to Match WSOF Offer to Tyson Nam

The drama surrounding the contractual situation of Tyson Nam has apparently ended, as Word Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo has announced that the organization has signed the veteran bantamweight.
Nam catapulted into MMA headlines recently after the Sports Lab fighter KO’d Bellator champion Eduardo Dantas at a Shooto Brazil event in August. Following the upset victory, the fighter reportedly received several contract offers, however, Bellator decided to exercise its contractual right to match.
The revelation that Bellator had the right to match new offers, despite the fact that the promotion had reportedly released Nam this summer, prompted widespread debate and discussion. In any event, Bellator has evidently decided not to match the WSOF contract and Nam will compete for the new promotion soon.
No information regarding whether Nam will fight at the the ucpoming, November 3rd WSOF debut was announced. The card is scheduled to take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas,
With the win over Dantas, Nam (12-4) has won four straight bouts and is 8-2 in his last ten.
