Benson Henderson, Gilbert Melendez and Frank Mir Lead UFC on FOX 7 Payroll

The California State Athletic Commission has released the salary figures for Saturday’s UFC on FOX 7 card in San Jose, and as one might expect, headliners Benson Henderson and Gilbert Melendez were among the leaders.
The UFC champ Henderson, who recently signed a multi-fight extension, earned $200 for his split decision win over the former Strikeforce champion. Melendez, meanwhile, earned $175,000 while making his Octagon debut.
Former heavyweight champ Frank Mir was also one of the top earners, as the feared submission artist earned $200,000. Mir’s opponent, rising star Daniel Cormier, collected $126,000 for his unanimous decision win.
Here are the salary figures that were disclosed to the CSAC by the UFC, which do not included any additional pay a fighter may have collected, like sponsorship fees or performance bonuses.
