Bellator’s next light-heavyweight tourney will begin January 17th and established fighters like “King Mo” Lawal and Renato Sobral will be some of the men competing to earn a bout with champion Christian M’Pumbu.
The quarterfinals action will feature Seth Petruzelli vs. Jacob Noe, Sobral vs. Mikhail Zayats, Przemyslaw Mysiala vs. Lawal and Emanuel Newton vs. Atanas Djambazov.
“At Bellator, there’s never been a matchmaker sitting behind a desk in a shiny suit deciding who fights who for the title,” said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney. “The origin of Bellator was to provide a seamless connection between real sports competition and mixed martial arts, and I believe we have taken that to the next level with a true tournament bracket format.”
Bellator’s upcoming season will be broadcast live on SPIKE.
