Cage Warriors – Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation – has today confirmed the addition of a second title fight to its already stacked return to Dublin. Light Heavyweight champion James Webb will defend his title against Brazilian UFC veteran John ‘The Hunter’ Allan on the CW 188 main card taking place on Saturday, April 26th at the iconic RDS.

Colchester, England’s Webb (11-5-1) is a two-weight CW champion, having previously captured gold in the middleweight division. He recently made the leap to light heavyweight, scoring a victory over Poland’s Adam Biegański before taking the title from defending champion Andy Clamp in round three of a classic at CW 180.

Webb trains at Dublin’s Team KF, giving him something of a homefield advantage on the night.

Brazilian challenger Allen (19-9, 1NC) comes into the bout on a fine run of form, having been victorious in five of his last six bouts.

All but one of his professional victories have come within the distance, including an impressive 13 wins via (T)KO. The 32 year old has been the distance with the likes of Justin Jacoby and Roman Dolidze in the UFC, as well as appearing on Dana White’s Contender Series.

The pair will meet on the main card of CW 188, which is set to be headlined by a mouth-watering welterweight title bout pitting champion James Sheehan against challenger Justin Burlinson.

“We’re bringing a second title fight to Dublin…” said CW President Graham Boylan.

“James Webb will be looking to cement his legacy by defending a second Cage Warriors title. He’ll have his work cut out for him against the UFC veteran John Allan, who’s coming to Ireland to spoil the party and give Brazil another CW champion!”

“With Sheehan vs Burlinson and a huge card full to the brim with domestic and international talent, CW 188 is going to be a massive showcase for Irish MMA!”

Limited remaining tickets for Cage Warriors 188 are available here, with the event streaming live on UFC Fight Pass and international broadcast partners.
