Cat Zingano Weighs-In on Ronda Rousey – Holly Holm
By FCF Staff
Having faced Ronda Rousey in the Octagon, and trained with Holly Holm, Cat Zingano is in a pretty good position to offer her thoughts on the upcoming, UFC 193 headliner.
Zingano recently spoke to UFC.com, and while doing so, the bantamweight contender was asked to weigh-on on Rousey-Holm. Here is what “Alpha” had to say:
“I’ve sparred with Holly before, and she has super heavy hands,” Zingano said. “She’s fast and she’s calculating. If Holly can keep it standing, she’s got some weapons there.
“I see Ronda testing herself. I can see her wanting to stand up to that challenge. If I were fighting a stand-up fighter, I would set myself some goals in the match to see what happens. I would want to beat them at their own game. I don’t know if Ronda is that way or not, but if I were fighting Holly, how much more awesome would that be to win the fight beating someone at what they’re good at?”
Zingano faced Rousey in February and was quickly submitted by the champion. The 33 year-old had won all previous of her nine pro bouts prior.
UFC 193 will be hosted by Melbourne, Australia on November 15th.
