Chad Mendes vs. Ricardo Lamas to Headline April 4th, UFC Fight Night

The UFC has announced a pivotal, featherweight bout, as Ricardo Lamas will take on Chad Mendes at the promotion’s April 4th Fight Night card in Fairfax, Virginia.
The headliner was announced during the UFC FN 59 broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
Lamas (15-3) is coming off consecutive wins over Hacran Dias and Dennis Bermudez, while Mendes (16-2) was decisioned by champion Jose Aldo in his last outing. Lamas is currently ranked #3 in the UFC 145 division, and Mendes is positioned at #1.
The promotion has also confirmed that in the upcoming card’s co-headliner, Jorge Masvidal will take on fellow, lightweight contender Bobby Green. The #13 ranked Masvidal (28-8) has won three in a row, while the #9 Green (23-6) dropped a unanimous decision to Edson Barboza in his last bout.
In addition, the April 4th Fight Night card will feature Mitch Clarke (11-2) versus lightweight Michael Chiesa (11-2).
The event will be hosted by the Fairfax’s Patriot Center.
