Chiesa, Kampmann, Cofer and Lawrence Pick Up TUF Live Finale Bonuses
By FCF Staff
Not only did Michael Chiesa secure his position as the latest “Ultimate Fighter”, the lightweight picked up an additional $40,000 for the rear-naked-choke he utilized to tap out fellow finalist Al Iaquinta.
Chiesa picked up the bonus and “Submission of the Night” honors for the fight ending technique at Friday’s TUF 15 Finale card.
Justin Lawrence took home not one, but two performance bonuses, as the striker collected the “Knockout of the Night” and “Fight of the Night” awards for his stoppage of John Cofer.
Although Cofer was knocked out by Lawrence’s headkick during the memorable fight, he also earned an extra $40,000 for his efforts.
The UFC handed out one other KO of the night award, as headliner Martin Kampmann was also granted the bonus for his second round stoppage of Jake Ellenberger.
After absorbing several heavy and telling punches from Ellenberger throughout the fight, Kampmann came back and stopped the welterweight contender with a series of knees and punches.
The TUF 15 Finale was hosted by the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
