Chris Weidman Says Yoel Romero Rematch Was One of Three Different Bouts he Agreed to Before, UFC Postponements

It’s been a roller-coaster couple of weeks for many fighters as of late, especially for Chris Weidman, who is reporting he agreed to three different bouts.
Weidman was initially scheduled to fight Jack Hermansson at UFC Oklahoma, May 2nd. But, due to the coronavirus pandemic and travel bans, Hermansson is unable to leave Europe. Following the news that all of the UFC’s upcoming cards have been postponed, due to the pandemic, Weidman tweeted out this.

The 35-year-old Weidman (14-5) is coming off a stoppage loss to light-heavyweight contender Dominick Reyes in September. The former middleweight champ has gone 1-4 in his last five bouts.
Weidman faced Romero in 2016 and was knocked out by the powerful wrestler in round three.
