Conor McGregor Avoids Jail Time With Plea Deal
By FCF Staff
The biggest name in mixed-martial-arts has avoided jail time, as Conor McGregor reportedly agreed to a plea deal today in New York City, in connection with his actions at UFC 223’s media day.
McGregor was charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief, as a result of the incident in April.
But it’s being reported that the Irish star has plead guilty to disorderly conduct, and has been sentenced to five days of community service and three days of anger management. He’ll also be required to pay restitution for the damages the bus incurred, due to his actions.
The plea deal means that McGregor will not encounter any visa issues, and should be clear to fight outside of his native Ireland.
UFC President Dana White had repeatedly said that the promotion was not going to book McGregor’s next bout, until his case was concluded.
