Conor McGregor Blasts Donald Cerrone, Says Loss to RDA Was “One of The Worst Finishes I’ve Ever Seen”
By FCF Staff
A lot of folks were extremely impressed with Rafael dos Anjos after he quickly took out Donald Cerrone last month, but clearly Conor McGregor wasn’t one of them.
The lightweight champ hurt Cerrone early on into their UFC on FOX 17 bout, and finished the contender in 66 seconds. McGregor has been tapped to fight dos Anjos next, at UFC 197 on March 5th, after winning the featherweight title last month by knocking out Jose Aldo.
At a press conference today to promote the bout, here is what the brash featherweight champ had to say about the fight (quote via MMA Junkie.com):
“Donald’s a p-ssy,” McGregor said. “Let’s be honest. Donald don’t want to fight. That wasn’t a TKO. Donald quit in there. As far as finishes, it was one of the worst finishes I’ve ever seen. He was swinging wild. He hit nothing but shoulder. He was hitting glove and then looking at the ref, saying ref, please get me out of here, and then the ref obliged and stopped the fight for him…”
The victory was the fifth straight for RDA and his second win over Cerrone.
