Conor McGregor Tells Rafael dos Anjos He’s “in For Sure”
By FCF Staff
Rafael dos Anjos repeated his call for a fight with Conor McGregor, following his win at UFC Vegas 14, and the latter says he’s interested.
Dos Anjos took on Paul Felder in the main event of Saturday’s card, and outscored the lightweight contender for a split decision win. After the bout, dos Anjos outlined why he’s hoping to face his fellow, former champ next (quote via MMA Junkie).
“Khabib leaving the division, I think it will leave the division wide open,” dos Anjos said during the post-fight news conference. “If you look at the rankings, we have three former interim champions: Tony (Ferguson), (Justin) Gaethje and Dustin Poirier. The only two real champs in that division are me and Conor. We were scheduled to fight twice. If the champ leaves the division, why not (book me vs. McGregor)?”
McGregor was quick to respond to dos Anjos via Twitter.

McGregor and dos Anjos were scheduled to fight in 2016, but a broken foot forced the latter to withdraw. Dustin Poirier and McGregor are expected to fight on January 23rd.
