By FCF Staff
As expected would be the case, the UFC has announced that Cole Miller will battle rising Irish star Conor McGregor, July 19th in Dublin. The card, which will mark the UFC’s first event in Ireland since 2009, will be hosted by the O2 Arena.
Miller (21-8), who has been calling for a bout with McGregor for some time, is coming off wins over Andy Ogle and Sam Sicilia. The well rounded featherweight has gone 3-2 in his last 5 contests.
McGregor (14-2) hasn’t fought since he decisioned Max Holloway at UFC FN 26, due a serious knee injury he incurred during the bout. The dynamic striker is riding a 10 fight win streak.
Some of the other bouts that have been confirmed for UFC FN 46 include Brad Pickett vs. Ian McCall, Gunnar Nelson vs. Ryan LaFlare and Ilir Latifi vs. Tom Lawlor.
