Cory Sandhagen Names Frankie Edgar & TJ Dillashaw as Possible Opponents

After putting away Marlon Moraes in highlight reel fashion at UFC Fight Island 5, Cory Sandhagen has bouts with Frankie Edgar and TJ Dillashaw in his sights.
The 28-year-old bantamweight finished Moraes with a spinning heel kick and punches in round two of their bout, which served as the card’s headliner. Heading into Saturday’s action, Sandhagen was ranked #4 in the UFC’s 135 division.
While talking to the press after his big win, Sandhagen relayed that he believes Aljamain Sterling should challenge champion Petr Yan next. Sterling quickly submitted Sandhagen this past summer and has won five in a row.
Sandhagen also had this to say, while discussing what could come next for him.
“The only other two other guys that have an argument are Frankie (Edgar) and T.J. (Dillashaw). (Maybe I fight) one of those guys before they end up fighting each other,” Sandhagen said. “Hopefully I’m not this little name after this. Hopefully I have some pull in the sport because that’s kind of where I feel like I’ve been. They’re giving me really good fights, but I never felt like if I called someone out it was going to get a lot of juice. But I think I got some juice tonight.”
With the victory Saturday, Sandhagen’s record now stands at 13-2.
