Dana White Confirms UFC Returning to Boston August 17th For First FOX Sports 1 Event

Earlier in the month UFC President Dana White relayed that the promotion planned on returning to Boston sometime this year, and now he has announced that the organization will do so on August 17th.
According to a tweet from White, Boston’s TD Garden will host the event, which will also be the debut card for the FOX Sports 1 channel.
No details regarding the card were announced.
The promotion has not held an event in Boston since August, 2010, which featured former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar defeating BJ Penn by unanimous decision in the main event.
