Donald Cerrone is booked to fight Darren Till this Saturday at UFC Fight Night 118, but the welterweight’s also reporting he’s inline to fight at UFC 219 as well.
UFC 219 is scheduled to take place on December 30th in Las Vegas, Nevada. While appearing on Sirius XM’s Luke Thomas Show recently, Cerrone reportedly said he’s targeted for the year end card. Cerrone stopped short of saying who he’s expected to fight, and noted (quote via Bloody Elbow):
“They can’t officially book me for two. It won’t work. It’s just on ice.”
Kickboxing star Joe Schilling, who was also on the program, reportedly added:
“I know who he’s fighting, but now I feel like I might’ve just let the cat out of the bag on that one. It’s gonna be a good fight. It’s an exciting matchup for sure; I think a lot of people will be excited about it. That’s all I can say. But let’s get this dork, Darren Till, out of the way first.”
UFC FN 118 will take place in Gdansk, Poland. Till has gone 3-0-1 since joining the UFC in 2015 to push his overall record to 15-0-1.
