Douglas Lima Says UFC Won’t Take The “Risk” of Having Him Fight Kamaru Usman
By FCF Staff
Douglas Lima has previously said he’d be down to fight UFC welterweight champ, Kamaru Usman. But, Bellator’s welterweight king doesn’t believe the UFC’s willing to risk what could happen in the cross-promotional match-up.
The hard-hitting Lima has long been considered one of the best welterweights in MMA. As a result, many have questioned how he would do against the UFC’s very best welterweights, including Usman.
Recently a fan raised the prospect of a Lima – Usman fight, and ‘The Phenom’ responded with this.

The 33-year-old Lima (32-8) is coming off a decision loss to Gegard Mousasi last October, which was for Bellator’s vacant middleweight title.
Usman (17-1), meanwhile, is preparing to fight Gilbert Burns at UFC 258, February 13th.
